Questions about this tool
What image works best?
A square logo or symbol with a transparent background. Fine detail and small text disappear at 16 pixels wide, so a simple mark works better than a full logo.
ICO or PNG?
PNG works in every current browser. ICO is the older format; use it when your platform or theme asks for a favicon.ico file.
How do I add it to my website?
Most platforms have a setting for it: look for Site Icon or Favicon in your theme or site settings. On a hand-built site, upload the file and link it in the page head.
